1. Cancellations

For both Kids’ Lessons and Free Talk Lessons:

• 10-class package: 2 free cancellations

• 20-class package: 3 free cancellations

• 30-class package: 5 free cancellations

• 40-class package: 7 free cancellations

This represents approximately 15–20 percent of total booked lessons.
Cancellations must be communicated via WeChat or ClassIn.
Each canceled lesson may be rescheduled once for free if both parties agree on a new time.
If the same lesson is canceled again or you exceed the free allowance, a 50 percent fee applies.
Rescheduling depends on teacher availability.

2. Refunds

Unused or canceled lessons are refunded within 60 days of your last lesson, or the remaining balance may be applied toward a new package.

• Kids’ Lessons: If ended early, any discounts are forfeited; each class reverts to $20 per 30 minutes.

• Free Talk: If ended early, classes revert to $15 per 30 minutes or $25 per hour.

3. Code of Conduct

All communication must remain respectful and appropriate.
Offensive, discriminatory, or sexual content, harassment, or intimidation will result in immediate termination without refund.

4. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

BEL-English may refuse or terminate service if a student’s behavior disrupts the learning environment or violates these terms.

5. Lesson Monitoring and Recording

Lessons may be monitored or recorded for quality and safety. Recordings are stored securely and never shared externally.

6. Confidentiality and Non-Commercial Use

Students may not record, copy, or redistribute BEL-English materials. All content and feedback are confidential.

​

7. Indemnity Clause

You agree to hold BEL-English and its staff harmless from any liability arising from misuse or policy violations.

8. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.

​

9. Technology and Platform Disclaimer

BEL-English uses third-party platforms (ClassIn, Zoom, etc.).
We are not responsible for outages or lag but will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected lessons.

10. Nature and Other Uncontrollable Events

BEL-English is not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our control (weather, internet failure, illness). We will attempt to reschedule, but no refunds will be given.

11. Teacher Assignment Flexibility

We strive to keep teacher-student pairings consistent but may change teachers when necessary to maintain service quality.

11-A. Teacher Replacement and Course Ownership

All course packages are purchased from BEL-English, not individual teachers.
If your teacher becomes unavailable, BEL-English will assign another qualified teacher with your approval.
If you decline, you may request a replacement or a refund for unused lessons.

Early termination voids any discount; completed lessons revert to the regular rate listed in Section 2 (Refunds).

11-B. Teacher Cancellations and Substitute Policy

If a teacher must cancel due to illness or emergency, students may:

1. Request a substitute teacher (if available), or

2. Reschedule for a later date.
   All teacher cancellations are monitored to ensure minimal disruption.

12. Technical Requirements and Internet Responsibility

Students and teachers must maintain a stable internet connection, working camera and microphone, and a quiet environment.

If technical issues occur on the student’s side, the class is considered completed.
If on the teacher’s side, it will be rescheduled or credited at no cost.

13. Student Behavior and Parental Responsibility

Parents must ensure that students behave appropriately. Repeated disruptive behavior may lead to termination without refund. Teachers may pause or end a lesson if behavior prevents effective teaching.

14. Promotional Pricing Policy

Promotional prices or discounts apply only during the stated period.
All discounted purchases are non-refundable, except when BEL-English cancels a course.
We may modify or withdraw promotions at any time.

15. Communication and Dispute Resolution

All concerns must be sent directly to BEL-English administration via WeChat, email, or ClassIn.
We respond within 5–10 business days. Direct teacher communication about payments or refunds is not permitted.

16. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials, images, videos, and curriculum content belong to BEL-English and/or its licensors.
Students may use materials only for personal educational purposes.

​

17. Privacy and Data Usage

BEL-English collects limited personal data (name, contact info, lesson records) for scheduling and quality assurance.
We never sell or share data for marketing purposes. Students may request access or deletion by contacting support.

18. Limitation of Liability

BEL-English and its staff are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages.
Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the current course package.

19. Policy Updates

BEL-English may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance. However, the refund policy in effect at the time of purchase remains binding for that transaction.

20. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a class package, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

21. Course Continuity and Dormancy Policy

Each course must be taken on a regular, continuous basis as planned. Packages may not be paused, frozen, or placed on hold after starting. Extended absence without notice renders the account dormant; BEL-English cannot guarantee teacher or schedule availability. Dormant accounts are not eligible for refunds or extensions, and remaining lessons follow Sections 1 and 2.

22. Transfer and General Provisions

Lesson packages are non-transferable between students or accounts. While BEL-English carefully screens and trains teachers, each lesson reflects the teacher’s own professional judgment and style.

BEL-English is not liable for any statements or opinions by individual teachers that do not represent the company’s official curriculum or views.

​

If a parent wishes to reassign a package to another child or family member, BEL-English may approve the request at its discretion, subject to administrative review and rate adjustment if applicable.

​

If any discrepancy arises between the English and Chinese versions of these Terms (and any other translations), the English version shall prevail.

​

In events beyond our control, BEL-English will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected lessons, but no refunds will be provided for such circumstances.
