What kind of places do you like to travel to?

Owen
I enjoy traveling to places with beautiful nature and great food. For example, I love visiting the countryside, like the mountains in Switzerland or the beaches in Greece. I like relaxing, taking photos of the views, and of course, trying the local dishes. For me, a trip is perfect when I can enjoy both the scenery and the food.

If you could plan the perfect dream trip, what would you do and who would you bring?

Owen
If I could plan my perfect trip, I would go to Japan. I’ve always been interested in Japanese culture, food, and technology. I would bring my younger brother because we both love anime and video games. We would visit Tokyo, Kyoto, and maybe even Mount Fuji. I think it would be an unforgettable experience for both of us.

Examiner
What’s the most unusual or memorable food you've tried while traveling?

Owen
Once, when I visited South Korea, I tried live octopus. It was a bit scary because the pieces were still moving on the plate! The texture was very chewy, but the taste was actually not bad. It was one of the most memorable foods I’ve ever eaten while traveling.
Practice 2
Read the dialogue with your tutor. Each sentence is missing either the main idea or a key detail. Use the dialogue to fill in the missing parts and complete the sentences.

I took so many photos, but honestly, no picture can really capture how beautiful it was.

I actually prefer adventure trips.
